AOP part 46: This one didn't work
Compositionally it was what I wanted. Technically I got exactly the right mix of light and dark and a natural vignette. The pose is exactly what I wanted. But...
The picture I had in mind was somehow a cross between a ballet dancer and a princess looking out the window wishing they were outside, instead of being stuck indoors.
Now all of that is there, but for me it just did not come together. It was almost perfectly matching my vision, but just missed whatever it was I thought I was looking for.
Maybe my vision was wrong, maybe it is just the mismatch between image and vision that bugs me. But for whatever reasons, this image did not achieve what I wanted.
So, I have done some post processing on it to get started, but quickly cut my losses and stopped. Crucially I didn't bother fixing the line of the window frame by the face which really needs to go.
Sometimes you just have to decide to cut your losses and move on.
