AOP part 20: Portrait with Post

From that lovely serenity we move to something much more sexually charged!

This has had a bit of a working over in post processing. I've reduced the contrast and removed nearly all detail from the face and skin so that the eyes and lips just pop-out of the image.

It is reminiscent of Irwin Blumenfeld's Vogue cover from 1950. (Google "blumenfeld vogue" and you'll see what I mean).

I have never been sure about the tiny blood vessels in the eye on this image. I've tried taking them out, but it looks a bit too much like a cartoon then.

I'm not worried about the fact I can be seen in the Maja's pupils. To me that is an added benefit.

When you work on images you often have these little micro decisions to make that are between the clarity of the image and the story it needs to tell.
