H.264 Video - Do I need a licence?

No.

Now let me explain. H.264 is a method of displaying video on websites and is being incorporated into a number of cameras and video software as well.

There's been a lot of myth and nonsense, fear, uncertainty and doubt kicking round the interweb on this topic that has gone user worried that they will need a licence to publish or use their video.

If you are a big user of such stuff - like YouTube, Adobe etc, then you need to have a licence.

If you are just a regular photographer then you do not need a licence.

Case closed, go and enjoy
