JammyLou Nude Photoshoot
When I shot with Lou we were shooting a mix of fashion and nude work. This section concentrates on the nude images.
Bill Brandt is one of my all time heroes because of his development of the fish-eye lens and his artistic vision. So when we rock up on this beach and all this is there what else can I do?
Sadly, no fisheye with me that day, so I had to make do with a 24mm
As I've said before about this picture below it reminds so much of the vietnamese child running away after being napalmed. It wasn't my intention at the time, I was just struck then by the beauty of Lou and the desolation of the scene.
Very hard strong sunlight was being a bit of a pain that day, restricting possible shooting angles and pose positions.
No, the boardwalk is not distorted by the lens, it actually is bent! And it bugs the hell out of me. I spent quite a while in photoshop trying to improve it, but couldn't get anything that looked natural.
What a gorgeous face. So clearly and crisply defined - the blue sky reflected is a perfect background.
Here's our water nymph turned into a wood nymph and converting some chlorophyll in a woodland glade.
It was a good fun day and I'll post the fashion styled pictures separately.
